The Cow & Plough – Bar and Eating House

Located in the former farm buildings at Stoughton Grange Farm, this pub is great for foodies and families.

Enjoy a drink in the sun during the summer months or take a seat by the fire during the winter.

Serving lunch and dinner as well as a wood fired pizzas from the dedicated pizza shack, you’ll always find something tasty to eat. They use only the best of locally sourced and home-grown products and produce. Sunday lunch is not to be missed and is served from 12pm to 4pm.

Private dining rooms, afternoon teas (seasonal), picnic in the woods (seasonal) and tutored foraging & dining experiences are amongst some of the great options available at the Cow and Plough. Christmas parties are another specialty of theirs in December.

Important Notice | On-site Walks

The woodland, Dam’s spinney and lakeside walks are currently closed to the public for maintenance and will reopen in Spring. We apologise for any inconvenience but the site has not been effectively managed for the last few decades and we are in the process of making our way through the woodland removing dead, damaged and invasive trees and generally bringing the area back into a safe, manageable situation. Whilst this process is underway, our insurers have correctly deemed the site dangerous and we cannot permit anybody to enter. We hope you understand that this is for the good of the woodland and, subject to proper management, will ensure that the site thrives once more.
